Terms of Service

Jantar AI

Effective date: Not yet formally dated. These terms reflect the platform's practices as of its current early-stage (MVP) release; a specific effective date will be added once the platform reaches general availability.

These terms describe what the Jantar AI platform actually does today, as an early-stage (MVP) product. Where a feature is planned but not yet available, it is described as such rather than promised. We would rather describe our real practices accurately than promise something not yet in place.

1. Service overview

Jantar AI ("the Service") provides restaurants with an AI-powered chat assistant, table booking, and related admin tools. Today the Service includes: AI website chat (answering from a restaurant's own menu, opening hours, location, and FAQ information), an embeddable website chat widget, WhatsApp messaging (where a restaurant has it configured), table booking with automatic capacity checks, optional booking-confirmation emails, and a restaurant admin dashboard. Some capabilities described on the Pricing page are marked "Coming soon" — these are not yet part of the Service and are not covered by these terms until they are actually released.

2. Restaurant responsibilities

A restaurant using the Service is responsible for:

3. Customer responsibilities

A customer using the chat, widget, WhatsApp, or booking features is responsible for:

4. Account and admin access

There is currently no public self-service sign-up for the admin dashboard. Restaurant admin access is granted directly by the platform operator as a long-lived API key, scoped to one or more specific restaurants. A key can be rotated (invalidating the old one immediately) or deactivated on request. You are responsible for anything done using your key while it is active and not reported as compromised.

5. Bookings and restaurant-provided information

Bookings can be made through the website chat, the embeddable widget, WhatsApp (where enabled), or directly by a restaurant's own admin team. Every booking is checked against that restaurant's configured seating capacity for the requested date and time before it is accepted. Jantar AI is not a party to the booking itself — it is an arrangement between the customer and the restaurant — and the AI assistant's replies are generated from whatever menu, hours, and FAQ information the restaurant has entered. We do not independently verify the accuracy of restaurant-provided information.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may restrict, rate-limit, or suspend access to protect the Service or other users — see Section 11.

7. Third-party services

Operating the Service involves a small number of third-party providers — currently Google (Gemini API, for generating AI chat replies), Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform, where a restaurant has WhatsApp enabled), Resend (for optional booking-confirmation emails), Railway (hosting), and optionally Sentry (error monitoring, off by default). What each one is used for and what data may reach it is described in full in our Privacy Policy. No payment-processing provider is integrated with the Service yet — see Section 8.

8. Fees and payment

Our Pricing page describes the plans we intend to offer. Automated checkout and payment processing are not implemented yet — no card details or payments are collected through this website. Access to a paid plan today is arranged manually by contacting us at the email address in Section 14. Because no automated payment processing exists, we do not state a refund policy here; one will be added once billing is actually introduced, and these terms will be updated at that point.

9. Availability and service limitations

Jantar AI is an early-stage (MVP) product. We do not currently guarantee any particular level of uptime or availability, and features may be added, changed, or removed as the platform develops. Capabilities marked "Coming soon" on the Pricing page are not yet available and are not promised by these terms.

10. Intellectual property

Jantar AI and its underlying software remain the property of the platform operator. A restaurant retains ownership of its own content — its name, branding, menu, and any other information it provides to the Service.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for a restaurant, admin user, or customer that breaches these terms, misuses the Service, or (once applicable) fails to pay for a paid plan. A restaurant or customer may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue to apply after termination (such as intellectual property and the limitations described here) remain in effect.

The Service is provided on an "as is" basis, without warranties of any kind, consistent with its current early-stage status; our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Privacy

How personal data is collected and used through the Service is described separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform's practices change — for example, once payment processing is introduced. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
